'I think coaching is a necessary step for an individual's personal development. As they rise through an organization, they find new situations where they are required to behave or act in a way appropriate to their new position that they've not experienced before, and coaching helps situation analysis with a very much more positive perspective rather than negative.
It was something I actually looked forward to doing because increasingly I was able to bring real life situations and put them on the table to discuss, analyse things that I've done well, analyse things that I've not done well, with a view to preparing for the next week, the next month, the next presentation, the next interview, whatever it may be.' |
